History
Antares Capital was established in 1993 in the belief that there is a need for a venture capital/private equity firm comprised of individuals with substantial leadership experience in small, rapidly-growing companies. Our own experiences as entrepreneurs and the success of our firms was tremendously influenced by having great financial partners and board members who had “been there before” and could contribute their operating experiences, substantial personal networks, and skill gained from having personally guided many companies through the growth and value realization process. We hope to provide that same sort of “Indian guide” service to each of our portfolio companies, all the while staying in the background and ensuring the founders and managers get due credit for their hard work and achievement.
Antares has raised four Funds in 1993, 1996, 2000, and 2007. Fund I, II, and III have each been recognized as a leading performer among their peers. Each Fund has continued to use the same strategy of investing in experienced management who recognize and will use the substantial resources available to them through Antares in accelerating the growth of their firms.
